Process Engineering Ideation: We develop creative process designs that meet the project's objectives at a low life-cycle cost while minimizing technical performance risks. Our extensive experience with projects demanding strict discharge standards (such as Zero-Liquid-Discharge) and those aimed at generating revenue from resource recovery (such as biogas, wastewater reclamation, and organic fertilizer) equips us to rapidly evaluate various treatment options and deliver a custom design that meets your specific needs. 

Project Feasibility Studies: We conduct comprehensive feasibility studies to assess both the economic and operational impacts of your project. For projects aimed at meeting discharge limits, we evaluate the CAPEX and OPEX impact to the industrial discharger. For owner/operator-developed waste-to-value projects, we assess project viability by analyzing how variations in project inputs and process design affect key financial metrics such as levered IRR, DSCR, and other indicators important to lenders and equity investors. This early-stage analysis is crucial for making informed decisions that save time and resources as the project progresses.

Process Engineering Packages: We create comprehensive process engineering packages that include PFDs, P&IDs, mass and energy balances, equipment datasheets, control narratives, and "concept" construction drawings. These packages provide sufficient information for an MEP, civil, and structural engineering team to detail to provide "issued for construction" plans and specifications. Additionally, they enable procurement teams to solicit pricing and purchase equipment and provide panel shops with the necessary details to design, build, and program control systems.

Process Design Review:  Utilizing our expertise and our network of technology suppliers and specialized consultants, we review process designs to identify opportunities for reducing performance risks and enhancing project economics.

Technology and Critical Equipment Supply: Through licensing agreements and deep institutional knowledge, we have access to proprietary waste-to-energy and zero-liquid discharge technologies. This enables us to provide both process engineering packages and critical equipment packages to projects that can benefit from these advanced technologies. 

Process Modeling: Our in-house capabilities allow us to model both biological treatment processes and other commonly used industrial wastewater treatment processes. This enables us to simulate the impact of changes to process setpoints or design modifications in "model space," well before incurring implementation costs.

Capacity Expansion and Meeting New Treatment Objectives:  Unlike traditional equipment and solution providers, we are not driven to push unnecessary capital expenditures. We use our modeling capabilities to determine how to maximize the treatment capacity of existing assets to handle increased loads or to meet newly imposed discharge limits. When expansion is unavoidable, we find the most cost-effective solutions to address the capacity and / or discharge quality shortfall.
